On June 4-6 we had an amazing Experiencing God Weekend.  God moved in our lives in many different ways.  While the weekend is over, Experiencing God is not.

There are several ways that we will be involved in continuing to study the seven realities of Experiencing God.  The first is by reading the text of Experiencing God by Henry and Richard Blackaby and Claude King.

The second way we will continue to focus on the seven realities of experiencing God is through the sermon series that began on June 13 called Practical Holiness.  Each week for seven weeks we will focus on one of the seven realities as we look at what it truly means to be Holy as God is Holy.  The seven realities are:

1. God is always at work around you.

2. God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.

3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.

4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes and His ways.

5. God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.

6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.

7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him and He accomplishes His work through you.

A third way we will focus on the seven realities of Experiencing God is through a twelve week study on Experiencing God.  This study will begin on Sunday, August 1.  Currently there are plans for a men’s study and a women’s study at 5:30 on Sunday evenings.  There is also discussion of an additional study time at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.  More information will be coming in the next few weeks.
