Vacation Bible School is August 2-6.  Plans are also underway to kick things off with Water Day on August 1.  This year's theme is Deep Sea Adventure.  Week nights are 6:30-8:30.

The women's Bible Study on Sunday nights at 5:30 is a study by Beth Moore based on the life of Esther.  All ladies are invited.

The men's Sunday night Bible study is based on the book The Man God Uses by Henry Blackaby.  The study begins at 5:30.  This is a time of Bible study as well as prayer, encouragement, and support.

Do you know about God, or do you know God?  On June 4-6 we embarked on a  journey that began with an Experiencing God Weekend.  On that weekend we asked ourselves if we really know God and if we really know what He desires in our lives?  We are continueing this journey of knowing and doing the will of God as we read together from the book Experiencing God and through the current sermon series Practical Holiness in which we look at holiness from the perspective of the seven realities of Experiencing God.  On August 1 we will begin the twelve week study Experiencing God.

We often pray for the children that we are bringing into our congregation.  It may not seem like it at times, but we are making a difference.  God is faithful to our prayers, our service, and because of His love for them.  I want to encourage you to do something you might not have thought of as you pray.  I want to encourage us to pray for the families of these children.  Some of these parents send their kids to church because they want something more for their kids.  They believe that it is too late for them, but maybe it is not too late for their children.  We know, however, that it is not too late for any of them.  Let's join together and pray that God will somehow draw these parents and grandparents to Him.  It may be through something we teach the children.  It might be because of the love we show their child.  However God chooses to work, let's pray that these families will be open to what God can do in their lives.

John 15:1-8 reminds us that only as we are connected to Christ do we have spiritual strength and produce fruit.  When we are not connected, we discover that our strength is weak and our lives are not very productive for the kingdom of God.  In order to be connected, we are offering several Bible studies.  On Sunday nights at 5:30 we are offering a ladies' Bible study, and a men's Bible study.  Make plans to join one of these in depth studies of God's word and stay connected.  There is a nursery worker available.

We do not have to go far to find someone hungry to feed.  On Wednesday nights we are feeding supper to any child who is with us at 6:30.  Karen Richardson and Joyce Sears are heading up this ministry.  Let them know if you would like to help.
