Easter is just around the corner. This year it can be just another Easter, or it can be one in which the events of Holy Week really empact our lives.
To ensure that we do not just rush through an event that we may be too familiar with, we are going to present the Easter Experience. The question we will be asking throughout the coming days is "what if what happened then chages things today?"

Monday the fellowship hall went through a transformation and Tuesday we embarked on our prayer journey. This is an interactive prayer experience designed to enable us to travel in to an encounter with God and then back out into the world, ready to be the people God has called us to be. For most of us this is a new adventure, but it will probably be a journey we will want to take again and again.

This past week, Marlene and I got to attend a conference with Henry Blackaby. As usual he was quite inspiring. After the event someone asked me if I would be sharing about what we heard, and so I thought I would take a moment this morning to share something that was an important reminder to me.

Sunday, as we took part in the act of cleansing at the end of our service, I was blessed. I know that it was just water that we poured over people hands, but in a way it made so real the cleansing that takes place as we confess our sin and failures before God.

New Years day is just a random point on the calendar. It is not the first day of winter, or anything meaningful like that. While many have accepted the date according to the Gregorian calendar, the Chinese new year actually begins on January 26 this year. So what this means is that New Year’s Day is just another day.
